Factor-Numbers you multiply together to get a product. (ex-12: 1,2,3,4,6,12)
Multiple-"skip counting" by that number. (ex-18: 18, 36, 54, 72,...)
Prime-prime numbers have exactly two factors, 1 and itself.
Composite-composite numbers have MORE than two factors.
Odd-A number that ends in 1, 3, 5, 7, 9
Even-A number that ends in 0, 2, 4, 6, 8
Square Number-"Doubles" When numbers are multiplied by itself. (ex- 3x3=9 therefore 9 is a square number)
Prime Factorization-"Factor Tree" Breaking apart a number into prime factors. (ex- 24=2x2x2x3)
Common Factors-Factors that two or more numbers have in common.
ex-
20: 1, 2, 4, 5, 10, 20
30: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 15, 30
20 & 30 have 1, 2, 5, & 10 in common
Product-answer to a multiplication problem
Quotient-answer to a division problem
Divisor-the number being divided by or the number of groups wanted after the division is completed
ex-
20 ÷ 5 = 4 Twenty is being divided by 5 so 5 is the divisor
Dividend-the number being divided into groups
ex-
20 ÷ 5 = 4 Twenty is being divided into 5 groups of 4 so 20 is the dividend

Denominator
